A PSA nitrogen generator comprises two distinct pressure vessels utilizing adsorption to separate nitrogen and oxygen. This process involves oxygen molecules in compressed air attaching to a carbon molecular sieve. While one pressure vessel filters out oxygen, the other undergoes regeneration, removing attached oxygen from the sieve.

Known for producing nitrogen with a purity of 99.999%, PSA generators are ideal for applications demanding high purity levels, such as laser cutting, 3D printing, battery production, and food and beverage packaging. Their efficiency is underscored by lower compressed air requirements, resulting in reduced operating costs. However, it's crucial to note that they necessitate very clean and dry intake air, have maintenance challenges, and demand more space.
