Water for All is Atlas Copco’s main community engagement initiative financed by voluntary employee donations that are matched with twice as much by the company. Since 2016 we have employees in more than 50 countries working in established Water for All organizations or involved in starting up national chapters. All in all, millions of people all around the world have received access to clean drinking water due to the support of Water for All.​​​​​​​

Clean water is a human right. This is the core belief of Water for All, a community engagement project founded by Atlas Copco employees in 1984. Thirty years after its founding, Water for All is present in more than 30 countries, with projects all over the world.

Water for All is funded by voluntary donations from employees, preferably on a monthly basis through salary deductions but other forms of donations are also possible. This year, we will have fundraising activities which proceeds go to Water For All New Zealand, to support ADRA in the WASH (water, sanitation, hygiene) project. More on this to come!

Ash Air customer centre and Atlas Copco customer centre matches all donations from employees with twice as much. This means that if an employee gives NZD 10, the company will contribute with NZD 20, leaving Water for All with a total of NZD 30!

In partnership and strong collaboration, ADRA New Zealand improves the wellbeing of people and communities through health, education, and livelihood opportunities both here in New Zealand and overseas. We also assist people affected by disasters.

"Clean water"

We’re currently working in Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu to provide clean water to remote communities. We have extensive experience working in the WASH sector, especially in Vanuatu where we have been working in for over ten years. Our New Zealand based project managers support the local office staff in each country who implement the project

Some of our key activities in both countries include the following:

• Building clean water systems in communities (community taps, rain catchment and storage systems)
• Training community members on how to maintain shared water systems
• Building latrines outside family homes
• Building tap stands and latrines in schools
