About Us

Ash Air (NZ) Ltd’s evolution from a small engineering company into New Zealand’s primary expert in compressed air mirrors the rise in sophistication of air engineering over the last three decades. In the 1980s Ash Air were the first to manufacture rotary screw air compressors in New Zealand and combined this home-grown skill with the acquisition of a number of key distributorships to provide a comprehensive range of solutions.
Being dedicated to air, rather than operating as part of general engineering or an industrial conglomerate, Ash Air’s level of service produced steady growth during the
1990s with staff numbers reaching 30. As the new millennium approached, industry began to demand specialised support nationwide to which Ash Air (NZ) responded - having reached six branch offices and fifty- plus staff by 2003.

Ash Air (NZ) now now has 12 branches Nationwide with over 115 staff. Operating with specialist divisions, supporting multiple distributorships and having maintained strong relationships with most of the country’s leading enterprises. Ash Air is proud to be a driving force in making New Zealand’s industries more competitive and the country more successful. The company continues to innovate through new products, such as the SmartAir systems Management  controller and  the very latest in Class Zero oil-free technology. Ash Air is also leader in offering other services including Airworks contracts and specialist leak detection capability.
